SlushWise helps owners understand whether a drink meets their machine requirements and what correction may be needed.
What SlushWise publishes
SlushWise is an independent UK frozen-drink information and calculation service. Its purpose is narrow: help an owner read a drink label, apply the published requirement for their machine and understand the limits of that result. The calculators, product pages and learning guides are produced for this site rather than copied from recipe directories.
How the calculation works
For Ninja SLUSHi models, SlushWise compares the drink’s “of which sugars” value with a 5 g per 100 ml machine minimum. It multiplies the shortfall by your batch volume and rounds additions up to a whole gram. Worked examples and the exact formula are published in the sugar and freezing guide.
Recipe status
Calculated means a mathematical machine-minimum result. Nutrition-label verified means the displayed product value has been checked against its cited source. SlushWise tested appears only after a real SlushWise test. Community submitted content remains private until an administrator marks it Community approved.
Nutrition and verification
Search results come from Open Food Facts, with a small fallback catalogue. Product recipes and labels change, so every guide shows its source, last checked date and verification status. Your own bottle label remains the final authority. See the full editorial and corrections policy.
How recipes are moderated
Submitted recipes remain pending and private until manually reviewed. Approval does not create a rating or imply that SlushWise independently tested the recipe. Contributor email addresses and moderation notes are never published.
Funding and affiliate disclosure
SlushWise is free. Advertising may fund the service, and some equipment links may be affiliate links which can earn a commission at no extra cost to the buyer. Commercial relationships do not change calculation results, verification labels or editorial conclusions.
